Modern Slavery Policy
Effective Date: 05/11/2024
TL Rail & Construction is committed to addressing modern slavery and human trafficking risks in our operations and supply chains. We uphold high ethical standards and expect the same from our suppliers.
1. Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
We do not tolerate any form of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, or child labor within our business or supply chains. Our policies and procedures are designed to identify and mitigate these risks.
2. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We conduct risk assessments and due diligence on our suppliers, particularly those located in high-risk regions. Our process includes evaluating suppliers’ policies on labor practices, working conditions, and ethical standards.
3. Employee and Contractor Awareness
We train employees and contractors on recognizing and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. Training includes identifying signs of forced labor and reporting mechanisms.
4. Reporting Mechanism and Remediation
Any employee or stakeholder can report suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking via our confidential reporting system. Reports are investigated promptly, and appropriate actions are taken if violations are confirmed.
5. Continuous Monitoring and Policy Review
We regularly review our Modern Slavery Policy to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. We aim to enhance our strategies and take further steps to combat modern slavery as necessary.
